Conservative Cleavage

The Fox News screenshot featured here was directly taken from Russia Today. When they say "a picture is worth a million words", it is no exaggeration.
Now, I have nothing against women wearing low-cut clothing. As a woman myself, I believe every woman has the right to feel beautiful- for the most part, we are not forced to cover it all up in the United States (although we also can't just walk around naked on the streets, either).
But Fox News- the very name has a stigma unto itself, a stigma considered a blessing by others (no pun intended). It is affiliated with being an ultra-Conservative station featuring the likes of extremist Pastor Jesse Lee Peterson, a man who believes women should have never gained the right to vote (as well as being a regular on Sean Hannity's show). It seems like women's rights would naturally not be encouraged on Fox, yet, writers like Sally Kohn (who offer more balanced views) make me wonder if dismissing Fox altogether would be foolish. At the same time, I get an overall vibe that it is a media news outlet that would simultaneously give the message that dressing sexy and provocative is perfectly okay, but that being a sexual person (i.e. putting Rick Santorum on the Fox News Sunday pulpit), especially when you are a woman, is NOT. The story of Georgetown University Law School student Sandra Fluke being called a "slut" by Rush Limbaugh is still fresh in the media. And yet, birth control has other medical uses besides contraceptives- regardless of Fluke's actual private life, the name-calling was useless and absolutely unnecessary. Why must health insurance coverage of The Pill come into question when Viagra in itself is already covered?
